Wordle Solver
Greens lock the position. Yellows are in the word. Greys are out.
Set what you know and we'll narrow the field.
How the Wordle solver works
A Wordle solver narrows the five-letter field to the words still possible after your guesses. Enter the green letters in their known positions, the yellow letters that appear somewhere in the word, and the grey letters you've ruled out — then it lists every remaining candidate.
Frequently asked questions
How do I use the Wordle solver?
Put each green (correct-position) letter in its slot, type the yellow letters you've seen but not yet placed, and type the grey letters that aren't in the word. Press Find candidates to see every five-letter word that still fits.
What do green, yellow, and grey mean in Wordle?
Green means the letter is correct and in the right position. Yellow means the letter is in the word but in a different spot. Grey means the letter is not in the word at all.
Does this give me today's Wordle answer?
No. It doesn't read the official puzzle or reveal the daily answer. It only filters the dictionary by the clues you enter, leaving the next guess to you.
What is a good Wordle starting word?
Strong openers use five common, distinct letters — words like CRANE, SLATE, or AUDIO — to reveal as many greens and yellows as possible on the first guess.
Is it cheating to use a Wordle solver?
It's a practice and learning aid. Many players use it to study letter patterns or when they're stuck; whether to use it on the daily puzzle is up to you.
